The Vicious Circle Of Linguistic Conundrum

Image
It is an unspoken responsibility of every Indian to pay respect to their mother tongue, Hindi . However, things on reality ground portray different picture. They delineate our disdainful attitude towards this sweet and possibly the world's richest language of our nation. Most of us cast callous disregard for this language, mostly come perfunctorily from the behaviour of pseudo, sophisticated Indians representing affluent upper class family whose kids barely speak Hindi. They consider it an affront to their overtly inflated social status. Things are taking such a nasty turn, that without sufficient knowledge and understanding of English, you can’t have plum job in virtually any job sector in India, albeit government jobs stand uninfluenced from this linguistic disorder. English is vital beyond words to narrate. Take me for instance, I am a senior executive in digital marketing in a company and I have job responsibility, including writing blogs, articles and various...

Bajarangi Bhaijan – The Lousy Depiction of Wishful Bilateral Bonhomie

Image
Bajarangi Bhaijan would have been a real cinematic delight had it not delineated  temperamental whimsicality of turning into the fated mediocrity. Image: Google What impression left rested in my mind after watching Bajarangi Bhaijan was the insipidity of movie’s plot creeping into an anticipated climax – … a mob of frenzied civilians of neighbouring country thronged at the barbed gate of Indo-Pak cross border, their jovial faces acknowledging benevolence of Salman aka Pawan Chaturvedi, the return of the voice of the speech-impaired kid AND the implied message of bilateral bonhomie among civilians of both the nations! (I concur the scene implying Indo-Pak bilateral conviviality is the essence of the movie unless not judged otherwise). The Plot that surprises you sometimes before you realize it’s typical Bolly-storyline A mother of a speech-impaired kid, Shahida (Harshaali Malhotra) of Pakistan origin lands in Indian capital city, Delhi,  to seek divine blessi...

Suspension Of Belief Of The Unyielding Me

Years ago, some absurdly incomprehensible turn of events guided by some supernatural cosmic miracles afforded me survivability! I continued living the life against all the faint expectations indicating my increasing proximity to death. Possibility of survivability were almost nil. Yeah, there have been incidents so perilous by the nature that they literally sounded like a threat for my god-gifted life, but the interruption of the cosmic miracles averted the likelihood of my passing away. Believe it or not, the past incidents and the dawn of the miraculous rescuing I went through signify one transparent message in spite of me deliberately trying to be blindfolded to the reality – that divine power exists to assist us in any way unimaginable by us, the mere earthlings . No matter how super-powerful we fallaciously assume us to be superior or resoundingly brag our march over the moon and Mars. What remains a deeply ingrained message is the presence of the omniscient and omnipotent i...

Why Tatkal Booking from IRCTC is Next to Impossible Thing?

Now I am virtually at the end of believing this. Kind of convinced that tatkal booking from IRCTC is next to impossible chore, especially if you try to book tickets from New Delhi Railway station to Darbhanga Junction (Bihar). I hail from Darbhanga district, and there are certain unavoidable occasions when my presence at my hometown seems indispensable. In that case, I've to resort to IRCTC to book train tickets. To my utter surprise, disappointment befalls when the website doesn't serve my needs. Instead, I feel I've inadvertently invited myself dealing with some tenaciously bullheaded jerks, gloating over my annoyance! The top major turn-offs I experienced at irctc Quick expiration of session log-in   Page – that’s the serious crapshit development coding done at the website. No sooner you end up browsing few train options than you are dumped out of the IRCTC page with mockery message – session expired! Ah! Can't verbalise the gravity of my annoyance! A...

Mothers Day - The Son's Tribute

Image
Although I have never been able to be in constant touch with my mother, and most often I miss the chance of talking her over the phone, yet what remains unchanged and in consistence is my affinity with those memories I had the privilege to experience with my mother, since the transition of myself from childhood to adulthood. And I am so enthusiastic by the fact of being in forever gratitude to the lady whose motherly contribution afforded in us the transition of unique human being, the godlike deeds not indeminifable in any monetary terms, for they have been the good deeds, priceless and peerless.      My mom will remain an adorable angel for me in whose motherly care my childhood developed from a little naughty and prankster baby boy into a matured and intellectual young lad. The transition from childhood to adulthood under her constant look after is now such a cherished memory that I most definitely will keep the nostalgia until my grave.  She resides far...

Salman Khan Jail Term: The Dawn Of The 13 Years Long (Poetic) Justice

Image
Now that Bollywood actor Salman Khan (ardently known as Bhai ) has been sentenced to five years jail terms by Mumbai session court, a question about the justice system of world’s largest democratic nation has been the lingering thought in my mind since the news about the jail term of the actor erupted into glaring spotlight on journalism world and all over social media platforms.  The question is – how come the Indian judiciary took so many years of its eventual deliverance of the verdict to punish the man whose image is literally idolized by people of all the religion?   A style icon, insignia of fearless audacity, heartthrob of millions, considerate philanthropist, and the most eligible bachelor of Indian Bollywood – that’s Salman Khan in essence, fondly called Sallu . The man who debuted his cinematic career with   Biwi Ho To Aisi as a supporting role actor - oblivious to the world that the handsome hulk would be one of the most prominent actors of Bol...

In Forever Love With What I Love To Do

It’s been over four years of my consistent involvement with writing. Seems like the tryst I'd made four years back was fated to be in continuance for a pleasingly unknown time duration. The journey; well, can’t say exactly, but has been on the roller coaster ride. Faced ups and downs in my career. Respected and despised. Praised and criticized. Humiliated and encouraged. Moralized and demoralized. Been disgruntled at vilifications. Made fun of… and appreciated, too. The bioscope of my writing journey in brief – more thorny than rosy! Yet, the significance of the journey was the continuation notwithstanding the “unfavourably more downs than ups” situations I'd encountered! The time I entered into this field I was laterally unbeknownst to my knocking at the door that was the entryway to the labyrinth of immeasurable difficulties. The semblance of the rest, intense competitions dilating everyday to a new dimension in market, each day more challenging than the past day to...
